Synopsis The action of this play takes place in the home of the Stranges. The time is the present. Mr. Dalrymple is a penny-pinching, cantankerous old devil, who is now ailing fast. He is cared for by his three granddaughters. Although they have very different personalities, the three young women are united by their sometimes oppressive duties toward their grandfather and by their anticipated inheritance of his estate. The play is in 3 Acts. The interval follows the opening scene of the second Act. |
