Synopsis
The action takes place within 48 hours and takes place in Susan's garden and beyond.
There will be an interval of 15 Minutes between the 2 acts

Susan the central character spends her days ministering to her husband - a man devoted only to his life's work and his widowed sister. Meanwhile her vitality is directed into a superior world peopled with an idealised family who fill the dark and widening void in her own life. Throughout the play, we hear what she hears and see what she sees. It is a subjective viewpoint therefore, and one that may at times be some what less than accurate. This family are initially her salvation but ultimately...............................
Ayckbourn has created a daring and heart-breakingly funny way of illustrating mental illness and the emotional turmoil it causes. One in three people suffer from mental illness at some time in their lives, so whilst the play may seem at times to be fantastic we should not dismiss it as a mere fantasy.
